Project Description

Insects eat everything you can imagine.  From predators to herbivores and beyond, learn how bug mouthparts have adapted to eat all kinds of foods.  Learn about the different strategies arthropod predators use to hunt and catch their prey.

Adaptable to suit all grade levels.  The Eat or Be Eaten class is perfect for introducing the following California State Science Standards:

  • Grade 1: Animal feeding adaptations
  • Grade 3: Ecosystems
  • Grade 4: Food chains
  • Grade 7: Animal evolution
