Knitting

This page is a bit old since I don’t really knit much these days. Maybe living through a Michigan winter will change that. Anyhow, for now it is staying up.

Mom taught me how to knit when I was a teenager, but I never got past scarves and hats until this year. Now, I’m hooked on it, like so many people are. I think it’s this great new take on feminism. We’ve come far enough that we no longer have to renounce those things that are traditionally considered “women’s work.” We can rejoice in the fact that there are so many arts and traditions that are rooted in the lives of the clever and innovative women who preceded us.
