I’M BBBAACCCKKK and my absence was not in vein. On December 5th, I graduated and was hooded with my PhD. Five years of graduate school and ten years since I returned to college full-time to pursue degrees in Entomology are suddenly behind me. So now I am submitting my research for publication, adjusting to my new life, and looking to what is next.

Thanks Amy! Nothing yet on the job front, but I’ve just started applying…
I just realized how sickeningly coordinated my hood and tassel are with my website colors. Sheesh!

Woohoo! Congratulations on your doctorage!! ( I did mine backwards last summer, hooding first and filing 3 months later, oh well)
Gonna hang out at CAS for a while? I bet it stil lhas that new building smell.

My next big challenge is not very post-doc compatible (see the end of my next post) and so I’m going to stick with my researcher privileges at the California Academy of Sciences for a while. They’ve been so good to me there.
